Young Man Gets Help From A Lawsuit Loan After Semi Truck Accident Injury

(OPENPRESS) November 18, 2005 -- After being seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident that was not his fault, Charles discovered that lawsuit funding from Beacon Legal Finance could change his life.

One fall day in 2004, Charles was rear-ended by a semi-truck. Since the car ahead of him signaled a turn, Charles stopped his vehicle. He saw a semi-truck coming fast in his rear view mirror so he swerved to the shoulder. Despite Charles’ efforts, the semi-truck still hit the right rear-end of his car and pushed it over 140 feet. The accident report listed the semi as following too closely and gave no blame for the accident to Charles.

Ever since the accident, Charles has experienced severe back problems. For treatment of the herniated disks in his lower back, Charles underwent months of physical therapy treatments. As a result of the accident, this thirty six year old racked up over $9,000 in medical bills. Because he could not perform any lifting or physical labor, Charles lost the job he had for six years when his employer fired him. Although Charles’ back is improving, he still cannot lift heavy things and may need back surgery in the future.

To pay his medical bills and receive justice for an accident that he did not cause, Charles hired a lawyer who filed a lawsuit. Although Charles expects to receive a cash settlement for his lawsuit, it takes time for a case to go through the court system. To make ends meet, Charles searched for a financial solution. Charles discovered that he could receive cash today if he agreed to give up a portion of the future cash settlement of his lawsuit. The pricing of the lawsuit funding was expensive, but it seemed fair when Charles learned that he did not have to pay back the lawsuit funding if his case lost or did not settle for enough cash to pay back the lawsuit funding.

Raising The Number Of Driving Hours Save Lives.
The longer off-duty time allows drivers to have more regular schedules and increases the potential for quality sleep. This is consistent with fatigue- and sleep-related studies considered in development of the rule that indicate the amount and quality of sleep a person receives has a strong influence on alertness.
